\ngray wings flat against its body.<\/p>\n
Among twigs in the thin crown of the birch moving against
\ndistant clouds like the fingers of the blind reading the coming storm,<\/p>\n
through a white oak leaf flattened on the trailer\u2019s top,
\nstill and perfect. Under the overturned hull of the kayak<\/p>\n
lying on leaf-littered ground, abandoned like the thick days
\nof summer. Tracing the dark brown<\/p>\n
water of Wescott Stream, moving again after the dry spell.
\nIn the turtle that crawls towards comfort <\/p>\n
on its muddy bottom.<\/p>\n
